West Valley FUTURES

West Valley Futures

Welcome to West Valley FUTURES

West Valley is completely changing how we connect our students with their FUTURES.

In the first step of our comprehensive re-branding we are unveiling West Valley FUTURES. Now your students can build career pathways no matter where their educational goals lead them.

How can FUTURES help your student?

Coming Soon...

West Valley FUTURES is launching a new career planning website where your high school course work can connect you to a college degree, apprenticeship, technical school or director to work opportunities.  Our goal is to help students make their education work for them.

Stay tuned as we continue to release more on Futures.

West Valley Fire Science

Community partnerships are essential in connecting our students to lives beyond high school.  In our newest video, learn about Jake and his experience with the West Valley Fire Department.

West Valley Fire Science

Located next door to West Valley High School is the West Valley Fire Department.  Every morning, students attend classes where they have a direct connection to fire fighting careers.  Students are able to earn their fire fighting certification, become members of the department, and launch careers in the fire industry.

WV Futures Promotional Videos

Learn how West Valley can prepare you for your future.

West Valley Futures has partnered with Field Group to build a series of promotional videos so students can learn about the variety of educational opportunities available to them now.

In our first video we will learn about Steven, a Senior at West Valley in the Aerospace Apprenticeship.  Steven took Core Plus advanced manufacturing as a Junior which included 540 hours of manufacturing instruction, met academic requirements, and learned an employable skill.

In his senior year, Stephen takes classes at West Valley in partnership with the Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC) Registered Apprenticeship and works for Pexco Aerospace right here in Yakima.  Stephen earns hours towards his Journeyman, high school core academic credit, and college credits all while being paid.

Learn more about Stephen and the opportunities for students in West Valley and Yakima.
